Senpai Paul started training in the Fall of 1997 at the WAC with Kyoshi Tanaka. His first trip to Honbu was as a yellow belt in 1998. He transferred to Phinney Neighborhood Center and has trained there since Kyoshi opened that dojo. He promoted to Nidan at Honbu in June 2007. He currently shares teaching duties Sundays at the Downtown YMCA.
